Locked and Load....ING.

This post is for David, an old friend who recently reconnected with me via ye olde interwebs. He's probably the first person outside of immediate family to actually read the entire contents of this blog so far.

Well, David let me know that I probably didn't make it clear that we actually HAVE sold our house. The 15-day due diligence period passed on August 31st, and we are locked in for a closing date of October 24th.

Until then, we're loading all our stuff into boxes, bit by bit, and putting it all in storage. That's because we haven't actually bought our NEW house yet. We're going to stay with Jamie's parents up in Jackson county for a month or two to save as much money as possible to make sure we have a good down payment before we get our new house. We're still hoping to buy the original house that was built "for us". As of now, it's still out there, finished, on the market. We just need to get our dough together to get it paid for.

That's about it. We'll let you know more as it develops.

  1. Yes!! I'm excited for you that you've sold the house. I'm almost as excited that you appreciate my 20 minutes spent reading every post.

If weren't for this blog, I don't think I would've been able to reconnect with you.

I'll keep praying that God's puts you in the right house already built but on the market, or already built and pre-loved, or a new build altogether.
Father really does know best when it comes right down to it.

  3. Hm. Dunno. I haven't seen it since I left it at the studio with Danny. Go ask my brother. :)

  4. Good update Rich, and the Rhodes is not actually fixed, but it's not because we don't want it. But we already have one in the studio that works, so we're thinking about sending this out on the road with one of our artists...we think we can fix it for about $5 or less!

  5. I think a treasure like an actual properly working rhodes should be donated to a studio that does pro bono work for Christian artists, like say.... the one on Stafford Avenue, Nashville, TN. The Ungerground Treehouse.

It would be a tragedy for a tool capable of such greatness to be damaged on the road by some uncaring stage hand. That's why I'm volunteering to be responsible for its care, if necessary.

It's for the greater good, I tell you.....
